Mantaray Island is a resort ringing with action. You can choose to enjoy the manta rays close-up by swimming and scuba diving with these charismatic creatures in the channels right in front of the resort or, if you don’t want to get wet you have the luxury of relaxing in the resort bar and watching them glide by as you sit drinking your favourite cocktail.

Location
The Resort is located on the island of Nanuyabalavu, south of Naviti Island in the Yasawa Group. The Yasawas are offshore from Nadi and Lautoka on Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu.

TRANSFERS are by way of the Yasawa Flyer, which departs Port Denarau at 8:30am and arrives at Mantaray Island Resort at (midday). When it is time to leave, the ’Flyer’ departs Mantaray Island at 2:30pm and arrives at Port Denarau at 5.30pm.

Accommodation
Our bures line the shoreline and after partying each night away you are sent off to sleep by the gentle rhythm of the waves. Only steps away from the beach, each bure is built to let in the cool seabreezes and is fitted with open plantation shutters which let sunlight filter in.

Mantaray Island Resort is an environmentally friendly resort, from the toilet systems to the reef awareness programs. It simply ensures that you can come back to Mantaray Island over and over again and experience the same incredible atmosphere.

Night time is further reason to celebrate as our Chef prepares a traditional lovo, an underground barbecue in which an entire feast is cooked over hot rocks while buried in earth. While sampling the feast which emerges from the lovo pit is a most enjoyable experience, the preparation is equally tantalising.
